The Stables at Eyam Restaurant is located in the grounds of historic Eyam Hall, and incorporates the Eyam Hall Buttery. The restaurant takes up the first floor gallery immediately above the Buttery, and overlooks the beautiful gardens of Eyam Hall towards St Mary's Church and the world famous Plague Cottages.
Formerly the Greek Village Taverna, the restaurant was renamed the Stables at Eyam in August 2006, and now offers an exciting Anglo-Mediterranean menu with a difference. Managing Director and Executive Chef Eric Boocock, together with Restaurant Manager and daughter-in-law Hannah Rowett, spent many hours designing the Stables menu during the winter months. Now, a menu has been created that ensures all starters, main courses, vegetables and hot desserts are cooked to order to ensure optimum freshness and taste.
Eric and Hannah are supported by a small team of dedicated kitchen and restaurant staff, noted for offering a warm and friendly welcome to diners. The restaurant's relaxed atmosphere is achieved through the use of church candles on the window ledges, tea lights on the tables and soft lighting to the exposed wooden beams and stone walls, all complemented by the sound of gentle music. Magical!
Parties of up 40 can be catered for in the restaurant either for lunch or dinner, and the Buttery is also available for party bookings for morning coffee and light lunches.
Wedding parties can be catered for, and ;if you are thinking of somewhere different for your civil ceremony, Eyam Hall is highly recommended.
